if you are planning for a decade,

Community participation is very important to us, and we are continually engaging with the local communities in which our projects are based. Our guiding principle at the planning stage of any new project is to work with, and become part of, the communities where we operate through communication with parents; meeting village elders and tribal chiefs; cooperation with local medical practitioners; and participating in local festivals and events. We recognise that those from within the local community have the best knowledge of the area, and its needs. Where possible, we source teachers and construction workers from within the region. From our experience, it is local staff who show the greatest motivation and desire for success. This level of local participation raises awareness of the importance and benefits of education, particularly for the often neglected girls.
