Computers for Kpandai!
We are delighted to report that we have been awarded a grant from the Mary Hodge Charitable Trust, in Stirling, to purchase computers for the school in Kpandai. I.T. has become an examinable part of the Ghana Education Service syllabus and necessary for entry into higher education. Students and teachers in Kpandai will be given training by IT specialist and Let Us Shine general manager, Jeremiah Dua. Thank you to the Mary Hodge Trust: their donation will help increase IT skills and general literacy of the children and adults in Kpandai, which is particularly important in opening up alternative employment opportunities in what is otherwise a very agriculture based local economy.
