Sports Day and
Parents Visit
In June, thanks to the kind donation of £1000 for school supplies and sports equipment from Mosshead Primary School in Bearsden, we had our first Annual Let Us Shine Sports day and invited the girls parents to come and watch. Some of the parents walked up to 6 hours to visit but we made sure we looked after them, with a singing show, sprints, egg and spoon and three-legged races plus tours of the school and land. Our wonderful cooks prepared chicken and rice for over 300 people - a banquet never before seen in this area - and key members of our team spoke to parents about future plans for the girls and our site.
The parents were thrilled and have offered to come and help us farm our land whenever we need it.
Thanks to Mrs Elizabeth McConnell, a teacher from Mosshead, who spent a month teaching at the school in June, for organising the Sports Day.
