Natalie to run the Ignis 10k

While the girls in Kpandai have been marching, Let Us Shine supporter and volunteer Natalie Sinclair is running in the Ignis Women’s 10k on Sunday 8th May.  To raise money for Let Us Shine, Natalie will be accompanied on the day by team members Irene, June and Maria. This will be Natalie’s third 10k in support of the charity, so we must say a massive thank you to Natalie and the girls for their efforts. If you’d like to support them please visit: http://www.justgiving.com/letusshineghana2011. We hope to catch up with Natalie after the event to find out how the girls got on.

Sponsor a child for only £15 per month
Blacklaw Primary School in East Kilbride recently won the 2011 South Lanarkshire Silver Salver awarded for Community Work because of their support for LUS in Kpandai.  This followed their initiative in setting up a  "Loose Change Changes Lives" campaign, which in addition to earlier book and pencil donations has raised £900 for LUS and supports two girls at Kpandai. At their Easter Service Zoe and Aaron from Blacklaw presented a cheque for £360 to LUS Administrator, George McGraw. The pupils are also currently making a video about their school to send out to Kpandai for the girls.
